Due to its chemical properties calcium nitrate has widespread application in various industries. Calcium compounds are main components of cement-based construction materials. Calcium nitrate-based concrete additives increase concrete curing speed, improve strength characteristics and slow down corrosion processes in reinforcing steel.
In oil and gas industry, calcium nitrate, owing to its water solubility and anti-corrosion properties, is used as a component of well killing fluids and in scheduled servicing and work-over of wells.
It is also widely used is chemical industry, among other things, as a coagulating agent in manufacturing of rubber and plastics.

Monoammonium phosphate is an excellent source of phosphorus for polygynous animals (cows, sheep, goats), since their diet requires not only protein, fats, carbohydrates and vitamins, but also minerals such as phosphorus. It is known that phosphorus is part of the nucleic acids that serve as carriers of genetic information, also participates in the processes of protein biosynthesis and helps to strengthen the immune system in addition, the phosphorus of feed additives of inorganic origin can be absorbed by animals no worse than organic phosphorus, which is confirmed by the fact that monoammonium phosphate phosphorus has the highest percentage of assimilation among feed phosphates (over 91%). Application as a feed additive for enriching and balancing the nutrition of farm animals to reduce the risk of diseases associated with a lack of phosphorus, to normalize metabolism in the body and the effective functioning of the immune and reproductive systems. Due to its high chemical purity and extremely low content of chloride and sulphate impurities, as well as of insoluble residues, this product finds widespread application in various industries.
High mechanical resistance allows using potassium nitrate in mechanized black powder and special pyrotechnical mixtures production processes, as well as in manufacturing of matches.
Lack of magnesium and calcium impurities makes it possible to use potassium nitrate as a component of thermal energy accumulation compounds in solar installations.
Potassium nitrate is also used in electrovacuum industry and flint glass manufacturing for discoloration and refining of industrial crystal glass and strengthening glass products.

Sodium nitrate is used as a component of liquid salt coolants, of quenching baths in the metal industry, of heat storage composition. Used as an oxidizing agent in explosives, rocket fuels, pyrotechnic compositions. It is used in the manufacture of glass and sodium salts, in the food industry.
In the food industry sodium nitrate is widely used as a preservative and coloring agent, and is designated as a food additive E251. As a food additive, E251 acts as an antibacterial agent that prevents the growth of Clostridium botulinum - the causative agent of botulism, severe food poisoning caused by botulinum toxin, and leads to the defeat of the nervous system.

In the production of synthetic rubber and rubber, sodium nitrite is an essential supplement to regulate the polymerization process.

Monoammonium phosphate is a perfect antipyren. This powdery substance is equally effective in extinguishing fires of solid, liquid and gaseous materials (classes of fires A, B and C). Temperature increase, caused by fire, turns this fire-retarding agent into a fusible vitreous substance, which covers hard surfaces by a fire-retarding layer, therefore it can be used to fight both fires, caused by combustion of regular combustible materials, such as wood or paper, and fires that involve combustion of flammable oil products, gas and electrical equipment.
