Uralchem published its 2023 ESG Report themed “Development. Cooperation. Safety”. The full document is available here.

The report reflects the key results of the Company’s sustainability activities, the progress in achieving goals of the ESG Strategy, and further plans to develop sustainability practices within the organisation. Key activities of the reporting period included continued developing the internal corporate culture and ethics culture, observance of human rights, preservation of biodiversity, and improvement of energy efficiency. For these areas of work, necessary regulations were developed and adopted including the Climate Policy, the Human Rights Policy, and the Sport Development and Youth Policy Programme.

In 2023, the Company gave special attention to working conditions. In particular, a list of career guidance programmes was expanded, collaboration with educational institutions was deepened to attract young talents, and adaptation programmes for new employees were developed.

For the first time, the scope of the ESG Report included Uralkali PJSC.

The report was prepared in line with leading international standards (including GRI and TFCD) and the sustainability reporting guidelines approved by Order No 764 dated 1 November 2023 of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development.

The document was verified by an independent organisation under the International Standard on Assurance Engagement (ISAE) 3000, and underwent public assurance.
