URALCHEM, JSC and Uralkali, PJSC participated in the 7th International Exhibition Of Floriculture And Horticulture Hortiflora Expo 2019, which was held in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.

This year, the event brought together a record number of participants: approximately 120 producers of plant products and mineral fertilisers, large international consumers from Europe and the Middle East, farmers, etc.

URALCHEM and Uralkali, at their joint stand, presented a range of dedicated water-soluble products, including both basic fertilisers such as potassium nitrate, concentrated calcium nitrate, MAP, white potassium chloride, which is indispensable in greenhouse flower cultivation, and complex products widely used in decorative gardening.

The joint stand featured a new distributor, United Fertilizers Company Limited (UFCL), which will supply URALCHEM’s and Uralkali’s mineral fertilizers to African countries.

The products presented sparked the interest of both producers of floral products and distributors of goods for agricultural needs. The availability of a sales representative in the region makes cooperation with local companies both possible and practical.

Hortiflora Expo has been held since 2005, every two years, under the auspices of the Ethiopian Horticulture Producers & Exporters Association; the main task of the exhibition is the development and promotion of national horticulture activities. This is one of the largest international exhibitions on the topic. Ethiopia is among the world’s five major flower producers and aims to increase the amount of exported flower products by expanding both production and the number of farmers engaged in horticulture.
