URALCHEM’s total output in the first quarter of 2017 increased by 2%
In the first 3 month of 2017, the output of commercial products by URALCHEM’s plants amounted to 1.6 million tonnes, which is a 2% increase year-on-year.
A decrease in the output of ammonium nitrate by 15 thousand tonnes in Q1 was due to the redistribution of weak nitric acid to the production of calcium nitrate. An increase in the production of complex fertilizers by 43 thousand tonnes (24%) was achieved following the redirection of VMF’s capacities previously aimed at the production of phosphate fertilizers, the output of which decreased by 26%, respectively. Overall production performance remained at the level of Q1 2016, showing an increase of 26 thousand tonnes thanks to the stable operation of equipment and a higher daily output.
