The production volume of URALCHEM holding enterprises during 2011 increased by 5% compared to 2010, amounting to a total of 5,093 million tonnes.

Revenue increased to US $ 1,556 million, compared to US $ 980 million in the first nine months of 2010. Operating profit increased to US $ 487 million, compared to US $ 126 million in the first nine months of 2010. Adjusted EBITDA grew to US $ 560 million, compared to US $ 205 million in the first nine months of 2010. Net profit amounted to US $ 289 million, compared to US $ 12 million in the first nine months of 2010.

The production volume of URALCHEM Holding’s enterprises during the first nine months of 2011 increased by 6% compared to the same period in 2010, amounting to a total of 3.815 million tonnes.

URALCHEM, OSJC is again taking part in AgroShow, the largest agricultural show in Europe, which is taking place in Poland from 23 to 26 September this year. The company is presenting its new potassium nitrate product with improved quality to European consumers.

The production volume of URALCHEM holding enterprises during the first 6 months of 2011 increased by 4% compared to the same period in 2010, amounting to a total of 2.6 million tonnes. The production of nitrogen fertilisers increased by 3%, and complex fertilisers by 13%.

Riga City Council on July 26th issued a permit for the construction of a terminal for handling and storage of fertilisers - a joint project between URALCHEM Freight Limited (part of the URALCHEM holding) and SIA Rīgas tirdzniecības osta - RIGA COMMERCIAL PORT (RTO, Riga, Latvia). The total investment level will amount to about $ 70 million. The launch of the first phase with a capacity of 2 million tons per year is planned for the 3rd quarter of 2013.

URALCHEM, OJSC gears up to provide solutions to solve the global crisis in the soil-based sulphur deficit by becoming the first European fertiliser producer to join the The Sulphur Institute (TSI).

In Q1 2011 net profit increased 8.5 times and amounted to US $ 161 million, compared with US $ 19 million in Q1 2010. Adjusted EBITDA reached 186 million US $ compared to US $ 66 million for the same period last year, the increase by 182%. Adjusted EBITDA margin in Q1 2011 comprised 33% of revenue, compared with 20% of revenue in Q1 2010.
