Calcium carbonate (technological chalk) Technical specification (TU) 95?2317?91 CaCO3
Usage:
There are 2 types of calcium carbonate (technological chalk) – “K” type and “C” type.
K type product is used in paint and varnish industry for production of paints and finishing materials
C type product is used in glass industry for glass production.
Characteristics:
The product is easily flammable and explosive, in pure form it is non-toxic, but calcium phosphates and fluorides and strontium carbonates that the calcium carbonate contains as mixtures increase its toxicity.
Package:
The product is packed in PE bags, five-layer bitumen-impregnated or laminated as well as FIBCs.
Transportation:
The product is shipped by rail and by road in accordance with the shipping rules for the corresponding kind of transport.
Guaranteed shelf life:
6 months.

Information: calcium carbonate contains mixtures of calcium fluoride (up to 1% of weight), calcium phosphate ( up to 2 % of weight), and strontium carbonate (up to 1,5% of weight).

Strontium carbonate Technical specification (TU) 95?2326?91 SrCO3
Usage:
The product is used in electronic and metallurgic industry, construction and other branches of industry:
- in production of color TV picture tubes, where the chemical absorbs X-rays created by the electrons that hit the screen (retardation radiation);
- during production of ferrostrontium powders, which are used for production of magnetic ceramic ferrites (constant magnets);
- in zinc electro winning technologies: strontium carbonate is added to electrolyte in form of suspension that allows to produce zinc without lead mixtures
- in ceramic and glass industry in production of fire-resistant ceramics and glazes replacing zinc, magnesium, calcium, lead, it is also possible to to use strontium carbonate for crystal glass production
- in pyrotechnics;
- in processes of the following strontium compounds production:
- Strontium chromate – anticorrosion coloring agent in paints for aluminum alloys (in aviation and shipbuilding);
- Strontium chloride;
- Metallic strontium used in metallurgy to improve cast iron and steel quality as well as to modify Al and Si alloys in welding electrodes;
- Strontium hydroxide for production of strontium and lithium-strontium soaps, which are the basis for grease lubricants;
- Strontium phosphate – component of luminiscent materials;
- Strontium oxide;
- Strontium perchlorate;
- Strontium fluoride.
Strontium carbonate is produced by nitric-acid apatite decomposition method without use of sulphur and chlorine containing reagents
Depending on the major element there fractional makeup there are 3 kinds of strontium carbonate: Ag, Ap, Bg, Bp, Cg, Cp (“p” and “g” stand for powder and granules correspondingly)
Characteristics:
Solid friable material of white or light-gray color, easily flammable and explosive.
Package:
The product is packed in FIBCs.
Transportation:
The product is shipped by rail and by road in accordance with the shipping rules for the corresponding kind of transport.
Guaranteed shelf life:
not limited.
