Use:
Sodium nitrate is used in chemical, glass, metallurgy, and pipe industries. It is also used as fertilizer. Sodium nitrate (grade A) is used to make fluxes, for soldering and welding, for production of reagents, pyrotechnic mixtures, optical glass, crystal glass, in production processes where mixtures of oxidisable agents in NaNO2 equivalent are strictly limited. Sodium nitrate (grade B) is used for pickling of metals, alloying of wolfram pieces, brightening of technical glasses. Sodium nitrate is used in agriculture as a valuable alkaline fertilizer, which is particularly effective when applied under white beet and fodder roots.
