Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers, OJSC is one of the top four Russian producers of phosphate fertilizers, fodder additives, phosphoric and sulphuric acid. In 2009 the volume of production amounted to 498 thousand tonnes of marketable products.
Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers, OJSC is located in Voskresensk, one of the industrial centers in the Moscow region, 88 km away to the South-East from Moscow. Production capacities of the enterprise form a compact complex on a separate territory. NP fertilizers, such as MAP and DAP, used for all types of soils and crops are the key products manufactured at Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers. In addition, the enterprise produces various grades of phosphoric and sulphuric acids and phosphoric acid based salts.
The plant has annual production capacities of 750 thousand tonnes of mono-ammonium phosphate (MAP) and di-ammonium phosphate (DAP), 200 thousand tonnes of ammonia, 325 thousand tonnes of phosphoric acid and 1,100 thousand tonnes of sulphuric acid.
All the products are of high quality and comply with Russian and international standards.
Apatite is the key feedstock used in the plant’s production process. Today, it is purchased from third parties.
The enterprise is certified in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and has always had a good standing on both international and domestic market.
History
1930 – The first workshop for production of ground rock phosphate with capacity of 200 thousand tonnes per year was put into operation. It was the first workshop of the enterprise, which was eventually named Voskresensk Chemical Workshop.
1931 – First tonnes of mineral fertilizers were produced.
1939 – Production of contact sulphuric acid was launched.
1950 – The first granular super-phosphate workshop in Russia was commissioned.
1951-1957 – Production of ammonia, nitric acid and complex fertilizers was assimilated. Experimental workshops of the branch of Science and Research Institute for Fertilizers and Insectofungicides began to function at the enterprise.
1963 – First workshop in Russia for double granulated super-phosphate with separation of extraction phosphoric acid was commissioned.
1966 – A complex for production of contact sulphuric acid was put into operation.
1974 – MAP workshop was launched.
1975-1980 – Active sulphuric acid workshop No. 3, phosphoric acid workshop No. 4, and MAP workshop No. 2 were put into operation. The mineral fertilizers output increased, and the inefficient production units were decommissioned.
1999 – Production of DAP - one of the key export products - was launched.
2002 – Quality Management System was incorporated in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements. Quality System certification was carried out by GOST R, a Russian body and by TÜV NORD SERT, a German company.
2006 – The Company’s shareholding structure was reorganized by merger of Kormophos, CJSC (production of phosphorus based fodder additives) and GOP, CJSC (extraction of rock phosphate on Egorievsk deposit) with Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers, OJSC.
June, 2008 – Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers, OJSC was included into URALCHEM, OJSC.
In February 2010 URALCHEM, OJSC controls 75.01% of Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers, OJSC equity capital.
