The company is paying a lot of attention to the issues of conservation and protection of the environment as well as ecological safety.

In this context, as from the year 2008  in addition to the existing systems the company is getting ready to introduce new management systems based on the best world practices in the field of quality and ecology, such as ISO 9000 and ISO 14001.

The production sites of KCCW, OJSC and Azot, OJSC are insured by the leaders in the Russian insurance market, such as ROSNO, VTB-Strakhovaniye, SOGAZ. . The insurance covers  risks related to property damage or loss and risks related to interruptions in the production process.

The company engages both Russian and foreign specialized organizations and is regularly carrying out internal and external environmental audits to ensure compliance of the Company’s activities with the current legislation and the high ecological standards of the Russian Federation. 

In recent years, the company’s subsidiaries have firmly held the leading positions among Russian companies with regard to the harmonious and effective exploitation of natural resources and protection of the environment. Thus, Azot, OJSC (Berezniki) has become a prize-winner of the all-Russian “Nature conservation activities in Russia” show and contest. According to the results of the IV all-Russian contest “Russian organization of high social effectiveness”, KCCW, OJSC was granted the first class diploma in the nomination “Environment conservation and preservation“.

New membrane-technology-based water treatment system that has been put into operation at MFP KCCW, OJSC won a prize awarded by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation as the Best Environmental Project 2008 in the category for Ecological Efficiency of the Production.
